Dr Nick Vyas
BDS MSc FDSRCS Cert. Implantology
Specialist in Periodontics
Nick qualified as a dentist in 1990 and thereafter spent three years working in the Hospital Dental Service in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and in General Dental Practice, after which he commenced his Specialist training.
Nick gained a distinction in Periodontology from the Eastman Dental Institute in 1995 and his FDS RCS Ed in 1996 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He gained Specialist Accreditation in 1999 and is registered with the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Periodontics. Nick completed a Certificate course in Implantology at the University of London in 2003/2004. He is a member of BSP, EFP, AAP and the BDA.
He is currently Specialist Clinical Lecturer at The Royal London Dental Institute (QM&St.B), where he teaches postgraduate specialist trainees.
He is able to offer a full range of services in periodontology from initial assessment and treatment planning through to surgical procedures including crown lengthening, grafting and ridge augmentation. Soft tissue biopsies can be provided for referred patients upon request.
Having worked previously as a general dental practitioner for many years and as periodontal monitoring is ongoing, Nick understands the need for regular communication between the referring dentist, the patient and himself.
Outside of dentistry, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, all sports especially football, cricket and skiing, and he is threatening to take up golf too!
Thank you Nick for all your hard work. I will recommend you to all my friends, you have done a great job
