Originally from County Kildare, Ireland, Dee first came to England in 1989 where she later trained as a Dental Hygienist in Guy's Dental Hospital and qualified in 1997. She started her career as a hygienist in a prestigious Harley Street practice in the London’s West End and joined our team at Moor Park in 2005. Dee is committed to ensuring that our patients are at ease and provided with the best possible level of care with her gentle but through approach.
Our hygiene team work closely with all the Moor Park Specialists, in particularly the Periodontal Team, to provide supportive treatments for improved oral health, along with looking after patients who have undergone complex restorative and implant treatment. We recommend all implant patients undergo both pre and post operative hygiene visits as this has shown a greatly increased implant success.
Careful analysis of the appointment duration for hygiene visits has shown that better care can be provided in maintaining gum health with a 45 minute appointment rather than the standard 30 minutes. It also gives adequate time for maintaining strict cross infection control.
All of our hygiene team undertake hygiene treatment using local anaesthetic, if required, and fissure sealants on children's teeth.
Dee is married and has two children. She runs to keep fit and signs up for the odd 10k.
